Ever since the film hit the screens on October 2, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer action thriller ‘War’ has been on a roll. The film has been multiple records at the box office since Day 1 and seems unstoppable. From recording the all-time high opening day collection to the highest-grossing first weekend of the year, ‘War’ is on its way to becoming one of the most successful films of the year.
The Siddharth Anand directorial has achieved yet another milestone on Sunday. ‘War’ comfortably recorded the highest Sunday of the year, beating film like ‘Saaho’, ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Bharat’. As per the report in Boxofficeindia.com, the film has raked in a total of Rs 36 crore on Sunday, bringing the total collection to Rs 158.50 crore in just five days.
‘War only film to go over Rs 30 crore on Sunday while eight other films have gone over Rs 20 crore on Sunday this year. The film was around Rs 10 crore ahead of ‘Bharat’ on Sunday. The Salman Khan starrer film also had a five day weekend and collected Rs 30 crore on its first Sunday, which is far less than the number of War on Sunday.

The plot of the film revolves around agent Khalid (played by Tiger Shroff) who is on a mission to hunt down his mentor Kabir (played by Hrithik Roshan). The film boasts of jaw-dropping action sequences hit the screen on the national holiday of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2.
